Blood Drive – 210th Worldwide Blood Drive
January 30, 2014
On January 30, 2014, the World Mission Society Church of God in Toronto partnered with Canadian Blood Services to hold the 210th worldwide blood drive. An ice storm in Toronto forced many donor clinics to close and thousands of appointments to be cancelled resulting in the loss of nearly 1,500 blood donations. To help with the blood shortage, members of the Church of God lined up at the clinic to donate blood.
The blood drive coincided with the month of the 96th anniversary of the birth of Christ Ahnsahnghong, the founder of the Church of God. With the love of Christ who spared nothing to give eternal life to mankind, members of the Church of God donated blood to share courage and hope to those in despair. The Church of God also actively reached out to the local community inviting their neighbours to join the cause. Guests who joined were impressed at the level of effort and enthusiasm put into the blood drive.
