Our Heavenly Family resembles our Earthly Family

The Heavenly Family can be seen through the earthly family system that God created. Have you ever wondered why God created the family system? An earthly family contains a bond that is unable to be broken which is love. The reason God has made it like this is to teach us about the loving Heavenly Family we will see in the near future. God’s providence is to reveal to us the existence of our Heavenly Mother and that our earthly family is just a copy and shadow of our heavenly one. Let’s study this profound truth through the Bible.

Through the words of Apostle Paul written in the Book of Hebrews, we can see the systems of this earth are a copy and shadow of what is in Heaven.

Hebrews 8:5 They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

Since we live in a physical world, our understanding of the spiritual heavenly world is quite limited. Therefore God allows us to see beyond this dimension and into the Heavenly one through the physical systems on this earth.

Understanding this will of God, let’s look into the heavenly family through the earthly family. A family consists of a father, children, and a mother.

Human Fathers and God the Father of Our Spirits

Among the members of the family, let us think about the father first.

Hebrews 12:9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!

God shows us the existence of two fathers. The father of the flesh which we would call our earthly father and the father of our spirits, which is our heavenly one. We can understand more about this through the words given by Jesus Christ.

Matthew 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray: ” ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…’ “

Through this, Jesus taught us that in the heavenly family we have our spiritual father; God the Father.

The Children of God in the Heavenly Family

The word father implies a man who has children. Doesn’t the title “God the Father” mean that God has children?

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, “says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

This verse clearly demonstrates that in the heavenly family we are the sons and daughters of God.

Heavenly Mother Revealed Through the Earthly Family System

In the earthly family there is the one who is the core of the family; the mother. Then what about in the Heavenly Family? Who gives life to the children? The one who bonds the family together through her love and gentleness? The one who protects and comforts? Yes, the mother of our spirits, our heavenly God the Mother.

Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

The Jerusalem above refers to the heavenly Jerusalem. Apostle Paul was speaking to the brothers and sisters in Galatia (Galatians 1:2) and while speaking these words to them he said the Jerusalem above is our mother. The words “our” refer to the children of God. Therefore, Jerusalem is our loving Heavenly Mother who gives us eternal life.

Wouldn’t we want to be part of this amazing heavenly family? Then let’s receive our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother who give us infinite love and receive their blessing of eternal life.

The Heavenly Family is Related by the Blood of the Passover

In order to be officially recognized as part of a family on this earth you must share the same DNA, which is contained in the blood. This is the way to guarantee you belong to a certain family. Christ taught us how to inherit the heavenly DNA (Blood) so we can be part of the heavenly family.

Luke 22:20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”

This is the scene when Jesus Christ so eagerly desired to eat the Passover with his disciples (Luke 22:15). During the Passover ceremony, Jesus called the bread his body and the cup of wine his blood. By celebrating the Passover of the new covenant we are able to receive the spiritual DNA from our heavenly parents and become their children. Although many churches and believers in this world call themselves the children of God, only the World Mission Society Church of God, which celebrates the Passover new covenant, can have the privilege to be part of the Heavenly Family.

The Children of God are the Heirs of Heaven

As the children of God we also become heirs of God. In this earthly society it would be a great honor to be heir of someone noble or powerful. By becoming children of God, we become the heirs of God who have the honor to inherit the kingdom of heaven.

As the children of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother, we may go through difficulties and hardships even persecution while on this earth. Since we are heirs of God, it is quite common for this to occur. Let’s see the words from the Bible.

Romans 8:16-18 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Everyone on this earth goes through sufferings or hardships, but as the children of Mother we are comforted knowing that we have a place for us in the Heavenly Family. This world brings forth many difficulties and sometimes we wonder why. But we are not alone, our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother have given us a way to become part of the heavenly family through the New Covenant Passover. Let’s become the children of God the Father and God the Mother by keeping the Passover and inherit the kingdom of heaven!
